Hydrax 1973

Hydrax 1973 is a blended formulation of tannins, alkalis and polymers for preventing corrosion and scale in steam, hot water and chilled water systems. Hydrax 1973 is specially formulated for corrosive waters of low hardness containing a high level of silica; also for after sodium exchange softening of a mainly non-alkaline water. Hydrax 1973 is suitable for ferrous and cupreous materials and when the galvanising on steel can be regarded as expendable since the treatment prevents corrosion of the underlying steel. Hydrax 1973 should not be used in the presence of aluminium .
